How Mills Country Market Came to Life

People around New York Mills work hard and deserve a local grocery store that’s committed to the success of the area. Our community had a need for a full-service grocery store with the impending closing of Dean’s Country Market, one that was locally-owned and family-operated, with fresh ideas and even fresher food. With 40 years of experience in the food service industry, the Muehler family decided to take on this challenge and provide Mills residents with the grocery shopping convenience and big-time selection they deserve.

We felt that it was important to carry a complete line of food and grocery items within several different departments, offer in-town deliveries, be open 7 days a week, and provide other family-friendly amenities, like baggers that will still help you out to the car with your groceries. We also decided to support Minnesota suppliers and farmers as much as possible, and that’s why we stock fine products from trusted local vendors like Barrel O’ Fun, Russ Davis Wholesale, Abby’s Bakery and Bongards Creameries. When local businesses are successful, local towns thrive. Families enjoy saving money on their food purchases, so we created weekly specials and feature many of the top-quality, value line Hy-Top Brands products in our store.
